To satisfy the requirements of local authorities and accommodation partners within the Benelux region, we also collect driver's license numbers, passport or national ID numbers, and digital copies of these documents.

However, the Operator reserves the right to share necessary personal information with third parties—such as hotels, ferry operators, or local tour partners—solely for the purposes of organizing and conducting the trip. This ensures your room is booked and your access to historical sites is secured.

3. Communication and Marketing

By providing your contact details, you agree to be contacted via phone, SMS, WhatsApp, or email for logistical purposes related to your tour. Additionally, your email address will be added to the Way & Witness newsletter to keep you informed of future historical routes. You may choose to unsubscribe from this newsletter at any time using the link provided in the emails.

4. Media, Photography, and Consent

To capture the spirit of the road, the Operator will take photographs and videos during the trip. Way & Witness reserves the right to use this media for marketing and promotional purposes. However, out of respect for your privacy, the Operator will ask for your explicit consent before setting off on each trip. If you prefer not to be featured, simply let the Operator know during this briefing.

5. Your Rights and Data Security

Under the GDPR, you have the right to access the data we hold about you or request its deletion once the legal and logistical necessity for holding it has passed. All sensitive documents (such as ID copies) are handled with care and are only retained as long as required to facilitate the tour and comply with local regulations.
